GBC Annual Thanksgiving Service & Meal
Each year, the week before Thanksgiving, we have a special service dedicated specifically to giving thanks to God for His blessings and what He has done in and through each of us in the past year. It is a time filled with hymns and testimonies. Afterwards, we spend some time sharing a delicious meal together as we extend our time for further fellowship and times of thanksgiving around the tables. We enjoy this special time each year and welcome you…
Communion Sunday
On the first Sunday of every month, we take time at the end of the service to observe communion and remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ so that our sin debt might be paid for in full. This is a time of remembrance for us alone. The elements do not save you; they do not impart grace. But they do remind us of the cost of our redemption and of the freedom that we now have to live holy lives…
Guest Speaker – Justin Kron
Justin serves with Chosen People Ministries and brings the gospel to Jewish people living in the Chicago-land area. He also leads trips each year to Israel. On this Sunday, he will be with us to update us on his ministry and to share the Word of God with us.
GBC Annual Soup & Chili Supper
Each year after our annual hike, we have a soup and chili supper here at the church building. Bring a pot of your favorite soup or chili or some bread to dip. If you’re a guest, just bring yourself. We always enjoy this time of getting together to share laughs with one another and just spend time together.
GBC Annual Hike
Each year we spend some time on a fall Sunday afternoon to enjoy God’s creation together as well as fellowship on a hike through the woods. We will meet at the church around 2:30 PM. We can carpool from there to the Zillmer Trail in the Kettle Moraine. Afterwards, we will be coming back to the church for a soup and chili supper.

Each year we gather at Dan & Ruth’s home for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and great food. You won’t want to miss out on this special time. Bring the kids. Bring a friend. Be sure to bring a dish to pass and lawn chairs. Scavenger hunt will be at 2:30 PM and meal starts at 5 PM. See you there.
Youth Sunday
We try to pick out a few Sunday a year to have our youth lead the entire service on a Sunday morning. We have a talented group of young people and want to get them plugged into the ministry here. We look forward to this opportunity to have our young people lead us.
