Following Jesus While We Wait for His Return

On Sunday, we discussed the importance of following Jesus as we wait for his return. Some time ago, I was greatly encouraged by this interview with a man named Ruslan. Take a few moments to watch and be encouraged and challenged in your own walk with the Lord and the call to follow him. “He Is Coming Again” (Gospel of John & Revelation)

Gospel Transformation Stories (Part 2)

As we started our new series on Sunday, we talked about the fact that the gospel of God transformed our identity. It certainly did for Paul who went from a persecutor of the church and became and advocate for the church. The gospel brings transformation. This week, I’d like to just simply be encouraged by a couple of stories about gospel transformation both as a means to salvation and as a means to greater imitation of Christ in daily life.…

The Perfect Word of God

I am continually astounded by the timelessness of God’s Word. No matter the culture or time period, the Bible transcends though barriers and more to speak truth and life into the hearts and minds of people. Despite people calling it archaic and saying that much of what is written is for a different time, God’s truth remains unchanged and is for us just as much today as it was the day it was originally written. Thanks for watching! “When People…

One Sphere. Our Everyday Mission.

In our present day and age with all its technologies, it is hard to compartmentalize parts of life. Our phones connect us to every part of the world, so much so that work follows us home many times anymore. Yet for all the interconnectedness of other things in life, it seems at tims that we are unfortunately successful at compartmentalizing the spiritual from everything else. Paul challenged us with a few thoughts on vision on Sunday. I’d like to springboard…

Life & Breath & Everything (Ezra-Nehemiah Vlog #1)

As I was reading early this week, the Lord suddenly struck me with a thought related to our salvation. Whether it was brought on by the reading or Pastor Paul’s sermon, I don’t know but the thought was abundantly clear in my mind and speaks once more to the amazing grace of God. “Worship: Start Here” (Ezra 2-3) The Gospel

Exploring LIFE Further (GPS #14)

This past Sunday, Pastor Brian McIntrye talked about the sanctity of life with the acronym for that word L.I.F.E. As motivated as we are about standing for life, let’s remember to stand on all fronts of it, politically, physically, and eternally. Checkout Sunday’s video & the gospel article on our website. Gender & Sexuality Questions – Part 3 (GPS #10)

The subject of gender and sexuality host to a plethora of questions as one seeks to understand it biblically and have a Christ-like response to this social issue of our day. Thoughts on Death

Death is a reality for all of us. Unless Jesus comes again before we enter the grave, we will all die. And death is one of those odd subjects that people don’t like to talk about but yet commands interest as well. There are all sorts of stories on YouTube about people’s after-death experiences. I was watching a video today asking “What happens when we die?” Looking to Scripture, what does it have to say about death and hope for…

Good Father with Good Wisdom (GPS #3)

Continuing on the theme of fatherhood that Pastor Paul hit on Sunday, let’s journey back to the book of James today and see its correlation to the book of Proverbs as we talk about God being a good Father who gives good wisdom. “Our Father…” – 1 Jn 3:1

Is Good Friday Really Good?

My son asked us the other day at dinner about the origins of Good Friday. He wasn’t referencing the biblical account by the eptimology of the phrase itself. So we looked into a bit this week. Is Good Friday really good? Thanks for watching! “Who Do You Say I Am?” – April 10, 2022 Sermon “What’s So Good About Good Friday?” – Passion Conference CCLI Streaming License # 20229783

I Am Not Ashamed & I Will Not Be Afraid

Who do you say I am? We talked Sunday that answering this question provides a basis for answering all the other questions in life. Thus, it is key that we answer the question of Jesus identity correctly and come to the conclusion that he is our Savior and Lord. As ambassadors, which we talked about yesterday, we are called to help others come to this important conclusion as well. What gets in the way of this though many times? That’s…

GENESIS 9 IN ONE WORD

As I have been looking at this chapter over the last couple of days off and on, there is one word that continually comes to mind. This one word could sum up the first part of chapter 9 as God gives various commands and we see the focal point of the text. What is it? Thanks for watching!

AND ON THE SEVENTH DAY… (GENESIS 2)

We are finishing up the creation week today. Rested. That’s what God did on the seventh day, but it doesn’t mean that he slept. That word though is any important theme carried throughout the rest of Scripture and key when speaking of our salvation.

GOD’S WISDOM & DESIGN (GENESIS 1)

Look up. See the sky. You you know it’s there, and can see it’s blue. You can’t physically touch it. Yet the atmosphere is part of the wonder of God’s creation. I don’t know that we think about that too much, but on day two, God created the atmosphere. What difference does that make? How does it reflect his sovereignty, wisdom, & creative power? Take a moment to watch.
