As always, we pray you are encourage and challenge to a great walk of faith and love for the Lord and other as we are in the Word together today. God bless! “When God…

Perspective Amidst Challenging Issues

As I was thinking about the vlog for today, my thoughts turned to the challenging issues that Pastor Paul covered last week and will be covering this coming Sunday (AI/Transhumanism and Cancel Culture). We as Christians can often be quick to fight immediately on these things in the political realm, to speak our voice “loudly” on social media. But as I thought on them further, I was overwhelmingly convicted with the need for us to step back for a moment…

One Sphere. Our Everyday Mission.

In our present day and age with all its technologies, it is hard to compartmentalize parts of life. Our phones connect us to every part of the world, so much so that work follows us home many times anymore. Yet for all the interconnectedness of other things in life, it seems at tims that we are unfortunately successful at compartmentalizing the spiritual from everything else. Paul challenged us with a few thoughts on vision on Sunday. I’d like to springboard…

Make God Number One

The book of Haggai, which gives us further background to the events of Ezra, shows us that part of the issue with the temple not being completed is that people had the wrong priorities. It’s something that we can struggle with. Let’s take some time together to look at what needs to be first in our lives and how that gives orientation to everything else.

The subject of gender and sexuality host to a plethora of questions as one seeks to understand it biblically and have a Christ-like response to this social issue of our day. For three sessions, we’ll explore some pertinent questions that will add to the sermons on July 3rd and 10th as we seek to gain a God-Positioned Stance on it. “Fearfully & Wonderfully Made” (Part #2) – Psalm 139 “Messy Grace” by Caleb Kaltenbach “God & the Transgender Debate” by…

The subject of gender and sexuality host to a plethora of questions as one seeks to understand it biblically and have a Christ-like response to this social issue of our day. SONS OF GOD & THE NEPHILIM (GENESIS 6)

The sons of God. The Nephilim. Genesis 6 has sparked the curiosity of more than one person as they seek to understand who these two groups of people are. I think though that in the midst of curiosity and pressing to find an answer that you’ll find that many people skip over the greater message God is trying to get across–the totality of man’s sinfulness and evil. These are the front steps into the story of God’s judgement through the…

FASHIONED BY GOD (GENESIS 2)

Today’s text once more proves how fundamental these opening chapters of Genesis are to many Christian beliefs. Today’s text hits the image of man, genders, and marriage among other things. The word that sticks out to me though is this: “formed”. God formed man. He’s formed you (Ps 139). And that puts us in a unique position with purpose. Join us!

THE SPIRITUAL BATTLEGROUND

We often think of battle in a physical sense. Wars between nations or people groups. But there is a very real spiritual battle taking place every day, and it is located closer than we think. Understanding the where, may help us to gain greater perspective into the conflict we see around us, noticing the spiritual element.

ABOUT MORE THAN CREATION

As I was purposing to continue in the subject of anthropology a bit more today, I kept coming back to the first few chapters of Genesis. Those first three chapters are about more than just creation. Within them we find truth on creation, gender/identity, marriage, sin, salvation, and more. If we cannot take any part of those chapters literally, what authority does the Bible have in any one of those areas or the Bible as a whole in our lives?

SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIPS (EPHESIANS 5)

Ephesians 5 is all about relationships. Paul gives important instructions for marriage relationships and that discussion continues into chapter 6 on family and work relationships as well. As we purpose to implement these instructions in our lives through the power of the Spirit and letting him do his work in us, we set up our relationships to be successful. Take some time today to read the passage and reflect on your own relationship. How might you further implement these instructions.…
