Putting God First

Politics and religion. Talk about two very hot topics that we find classing in many arenas of our culture. The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 13 that believers are to have a specific gospel-oriented response to this God-ordained institution. Join us this week as we explore more in depth on how believers should view and interact with the government in light of the gospel. God Is Working All Things… (Rom 8)

Isn’t it amazing at how we can come back to a familiar text of Scripture and be encouraged or grasp something new from it? That happened for me today. And I pray it will for you as well in this video clip I’d like to share. We must remember it’s all about God. May you be encouraged today. God bless! Guest Speaker: Tim Jeske (MCE) on Romans 8

RIGHTEOUS ANGER (PART 2)

Both the Apostle Paul and James warn us about anger. Their commands and exhortations join a host of others we find in Scripture. PRAISE THE LORD FOR IT IS GOOD

I was reading through Psalm 147 today and was simply impressed and encouraged by several verses. Today’s vlog is just sharing my thoughts and some encouragements from those verses.

The problem of good and evil has been ongoing for centuries. People are particularly confounded about how to tackle this issue as they see the evil and the world and read about the goodness of God in the Scriptures. I was disturbed recently by a statement a fellow graduate school student made. Why? Take a moment to watch.

THE RIGHT MEASUREMENT (LUKE 18)

Measurements are a crucial part of our daily lives. From the size of our clothes to the ingredients used to make our food, to the gas in our car, we use measurements in some form every day. Luke 18 talks about measurements of sorts when it comes to considering how “good” we are. Take a moment to watch and think about measurement as we see it there. Luke 18 NET

SUFFERING & FAITH – ROMANS 5

Paul in Romans 5 talks about suffering as a good thing. That’s strange. We don’t normally think of suffering as something that is good. James joins in as well to form a chorus on this subject–God uses suffering for our good. Let’s see what they both have to say on the matter and how God uses this tool.
